The Walther P1 9mm pistol is the post-WW II follow-up to the Walther P38. While almost identical in their appearance, there are some subtle differences that help in identification of the particular pistols. The lower receiver of the P1 is aluminium while the lower receiver of the P38 is steel. Also visible on the lower receiver of the P1 is a hexagonal pin located between the disassembly lever and the decocking lever. This pin was introduced to the P1 models to strengthen this area of the receiver.
This pistol retains 99% of its finish and the bore is in excellent condition. While the exact date of manufacture is unknown, the P1 models were manufactured from 1963 on. This particular model does not have matching serial numbers. While this is not a rare pistol, its condition would make it a fine addition to your Walther collection and would also make an enjoyable shooter. It comes with one Walther P38 9 round magazine.
